Blake Island Cruise
June 26-27, 2020
With the reintroduction of Port Madison Prams to the club's fleet, we have decided it would be fun to start a new cruise tradition and have a few prams sail to Blake Island for a revised "shrimp" cruise on June 26-27. This cruise is open to all cruisers in all boats. The idea for the Pram fleet is to launch at either Fort Ward or Eagle Harbor and to sail to Blake Island in the early afternoon with other larger cruisers providing escort services as needed (i.e. carrying camping gear and supplies and possibly giving a tow if the wind dies or the ebb current is too strong). The cruise will stop at the NW end of Blake Island with the Prams anchoring out for the night with their crews camping ashore (or sleeping on the escort boats (where Covid protocol allows). We hope this cruise will re-ignite some of the small boat cruising our yacht club was famous for in years past.
Outdoor Event - COVID 19 Requirements
In accordance with the Secretary of Health’s Order 20-03.2, fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from the requirement to wear a face covering. A person is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after they have received the second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson/Janssen).
Fully vaccinated individuals are also exempt from physical distancing requirements.
If you are not fully vaccinated or feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we recommend you wear one.
